Planet KB Photography was established by professional photographer Geoff Brown in 1988, as an industrial, corporate and mining photography studio in Johannesburg, South Africa. Shoots take place all over South Africa and abroad, often in extremely challenging locations.
Whatever the end use, be it advertising, brochure, website or annual reports, our goal is to deliver unique, dynamic and creative industrial photography that makes our client’s company look great. You can rely on us to provide you with remarkable images of, for instance, large machinery, workshop environments, mining operations, CSI initiatives, factories, interior and exterior architectural photographs, company executives and more. Once we have been briefed, we ensure the results are exactly what you need to promote, publicise and advertise your company.

Geoff Brown occupies a very fortunate niche – being able to combine a lifelong fascination and passion for both photography and the industrialised world. This and years of experience as a professional photographer is the backbone to creating compelling, unusual and exciting industrial, architectural, corporate and mining photographs.
From a personal point of view, being involved in industrial photography is like living on the Discovery channel, and each shoot is an opportunity to share that experience with the viewer.
From the operational side, being properly prepared and expecting the unexpected, which comes from years of experience, makes sure we are in the right place at the right time, for best light and subject interest, to create the best possible images.

The Planet KB Photography studio is located in Rivonia, north of Johannesburg on 2000 square metres of garden.
Our 200 square metre, purpose built studio is capable of handling large sets and vehicles and is fully air conditioned. It has a solid concrete infinity curve (cyclorama) across two sides of it’s 13 metre width as well as an electrically driven, centre tilting and rotating, 10 x 5 metre bounce-board. The studio also has a full size steel roll-up door for easy access of machinery and vehicles.
